Assisting student veterans in completing tier education: The UMUC Veterans Assistance Fund

Despite generous GI Bill entitlements, student veterans often face financial gaps in funding their education. Many of these gaps cannot be addressed through traditional resources. This presentation highlights four non-traditional alternatives to enhance success: Veterans Assistance Fund (UMUC); SAVE (TAMU); Veterans Education Fund (ASU); and Veterans Community Gratitude Fund (ISU). By bridging the gaps, student veterans can focus on degree completion and career transition. Learn about areas of greatest need and how to prevent financial failure.
