Case Study of Faculty Engagement and Advocacy in a Voluntary Education Center

Presenters will share findings from a study designed to "flip the script" on transition -- a term commonly used to describe veterans leaving the military and entering the university -- by investigating the experiences of voluntary education center (VEC) faculty who transition from the university campus to the VEC’s hybrid military-university environment. The findings illustrate the resources and support instructors perceive as important, available, or needing improvement as they work almost exclusively with student veterans.
