Improving College Self-efficacy and Student Engagement among Military Members return-ing from Deployment

When US-Military members return from deployment and enter college, they are 10-times less likely to complete a degree than civilians. Attendees will learn about the connection between post-traumatic stress symptoms, self-efficacy, and student engagement among military students. Colleges can take specific actions to improve this situation and help military students successfully transition to a college environment. Suggestions for reducing attrition and increasing graduation rates among these students will be presented
