Title:Using mLearning to Improve Student Engagement
Description:This session will provide an interactive experience with mobile technology in a distance education setting. The Graduate School USA's distance education leaders will review some of the technologies they are using, and discuss how they use those technologies to meet the needs of today's military and federal workforce. This discussion will include a demonstration of our live and asynchronous learning environments. We will demonstrate how we have combined industry standard tools like Adobe Presenter, Captivate, and Blackboard to create online courses that bring clarity to complex content and engage your students. Participants will interact with a professor as we stream a live session via Adobe Connect and asynchronous sessions to iPhones, iTouches and iPads. Blackboard mobile accessibility will also be demonstrated. Participants will be able to experience what it might be like to take an online course using mobile technology.
