Session Time: Wednesday 9:15 - 10:15 am

The State of Texas passed a law in 2011 creating the College Credit for Heroes Initiative. This initiative contracted with seven community colleges to identify barriers to the education and employment of service members and veterans, removing those barriers, and standardizing across the state the evaluation of college credit for military training and experience. The session will include a description of the outcomes, lessons learned, and benefits to Texas's economy.
