Abstract:
Apprenticeships foster loyalty, forge a pathway to family wage jobs and provide employers with a significant return on investment. Through a combination of on-the-job training and related classroom instruction, apprenticeships offer opportunities to be paid for work performed while learning new skills. This session will outline best practices that build partnerships with military installations, state apprenticeship agencies/unions and vocational career and technical colleges. You will gain tools for recruiting highly skilled veterans into direct apprenticeship appointments.
