Alisha Miller is an Associate Director in the Office of Military and Veteran Education at Thomas Edison State University. She manages sites on the western coast of the U.S. and Alaska. Alisha began her career with Thomas Edison State College as a military base counselor at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey, and then serving as the executive assistant to the Associate Vice President in the Office of Military and Veteran Education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in marine biology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is currently working on a Master of Science certificate in Environmental Science at the University of Maryland University College. Prior to her career at Thomas Edison State College, Alisha worked for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) studying deep-sea corals and as a marine endangered species observer. Although her background is in science, Alisha has found a passion for serving the military community through supporting their educational goals. Alisha is also a member of the National Association of Institutions for Military Education Services (NAIMES) and serves on their membership committee.
