Ken McRae is the Director, G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery Center for America's Veterans Mississippi State University, Starkville, MS. He came to Mississippi State from Millsaps College-Jackson, Mississippi where he was the Assistant Dean of Admissions. Ken also enjoys his consulting career at McRae Enterprises-USA where he serves as President and advises clients in the area of government relations and contracting.
Ken earned a dual procurement/Acquisitions Management and Public Administrations MA from Webster University in St. Louis, Mo. He earned his bachelor's degree in Political Science with a minor in Urban Affairs from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Alabama.
Ken enlisted in the Army National Guard as a Private in 1972, and retired as a Colonel in 2005. He Commanded Army National Guard Units from Company, Battalion and Task Force in the continental U.S. and the Republic of Panama. He has also served as the Executive Director for the National Guard Association of Alabama, where he served 3,000 members. Ken is actively involved in the community and has served on the following boards and organizations.
